Brand New, and Un-opened.If you were to enter one of the 13,400 indoor tanning salons in the USA and purchase a bottle of lotion, it would not come sealed.We contacted the manufacturer and asked this question, they state that "We do not seal our products so that our clients and salons can smell the scent before purchasing" which does make sense...

Try to buy from someone who is a "Top Rated Seller" as Top Rated Sellers consistently have been rated as a 5 Star purchasing experience. - Purchasing From Amazon, still try to buy from sellers with 96%+ feedback, and if possible, purchase an item that is "Fulfilled By Amazon" as that means the product is shipped directly to you from one of Amazon's warehouses. Amazon has extremely rigid rules regarding the inventory they store.Amazon constantly requires sellers to supply them with up to date invoices not only to prove the lotion is genuine, but also to ensure that it is fresh and not anywhere near expiration. Bronzers are a great way to break through any tanning plateau, however, this is a tough question.. as any lotion with a bronzer can and will streak, especially depending on skin type and application.Please keep in mind.. if your complexion is on the fair side, a darker bronzer may not look as natural as a medium or light bronzer. Also.. remember... applying lightly and evenly is key.Applying too much lotion will most certainly streak. If you want to avoid streaking completely, try using an accelerator or tingle without and bronzing.These types of lotions will help stimulate the production of melanin in your cells using Tyrosine and other active ingredients.

Furthermore, indoor tanning lotions are specially formulated to stimulate the production of melanin, the pigment that darkens to create a tan. This means that you will tan faster, tan darker, and keep your tan longer. What Are Bronzers? Lotions with bronzer use self tanning ingredients to supplement tanning results with an additional boost of color while your natural tan develops. The key ingredient is DHA, which causes the surface of your skin to brown after 2-4 hrs and simulate a natural tan. The color from these bronzers usually lasts 5 to 7 days and fades as the top layer of skin naturally exfoliates. Some lotions also contain temporary cosmetic bronzers that give the skin a cosmetic tint. The effects of this type of bronzer are short-term as they rinse off with soap and water. If you use a bronzer lotion, it is best to wait 4-6 hrs before showering or working out to give the DHA time to react with your skin. What is a Tingle, or Hot Lotion? Hot action or tingle lotions usually contain some combination of Benzyl Nicotinate, Methyl Nicotinate, and Hexyl Nicotinate. These are vaso-dilating ingredients, which means they increase micro-circulation. This increased micro-circulation, in turn, causes the blood vessels to open and increases blood flow. The reddening and warming effect you see and feel is caused from increased blood flow, similar to the flush you get when you start exercising. Increased blood flow means more oxygen is being delivered to the skin, helping it tan. The effects of hot action or tingle are temporary. The duration depends on the intensity of the product and the level of sensitivity of the individual's skin. It begins right after the product is applied and continues for 30 minutes to a few hours. Hot action is not dangerous, but it can be VERY uncomfortable for people with sensitive skin and is not recommended for them.
